/ ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Beulah Training Centre is a brand new ministry in Mkushi in Central Zambia. Their vision is to establish a discipleship-training centre where many can participate in life-changing experiences, adventure and deepening relationship with Christ.
Their desire is for people to genuinely know God and make Him known in their communities, throughout Zambia and beyond. They especially want those with physical disabilities and the less privileged to have the same opportunities to participate in these transformational experiences. In order to achieve this Beulah has partnered with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) running Discipleship Training Schools and with Dignity Zambia.
The centre is run but Richard Thompson (who ran Ndubaluba Outdoor Centre for 27 years) and his wife Judy. Construction of the campus is well under way and they are booked to host their second YWAM Discipleship Training School for July 2024!
/ ABOUT OUR PROJECT
Beulah were able to raise the funds to purchase an ex-army truck that Richard wants to convert into a ministry vehicle to access remote areas and Mission Geeks jumped at the chance to take on this challenging project!
Once completed the truck will enable the Beulah team to drive out into remote communities for ministry work with everything they need on-board. We will be building seating and storage into the back, a built-in generator, solar lighting, PA system, drinking water storage, a fold-down stage, an activity wall and a stowable projector and screen for showing films.
We are very grateful to volunteer geek and mechanical genius Tobias Shempp who will be taking the lead on this build!
/ FUNDING REQUIRED
We are aiming to raise $12,000 to cover the costs of this build. As volunteer geeks will be donating their time for the build, these funds will be used to purchase materials and equipment as well as to cover travel costs for our team.
